An exact replacement
Hi, The burner works as well as the last one I had and that is a good thing. The reason I had to replace the one I had was because I loaned it to someone who then broke it, so I'm not replacing the unit because of any failure. The thermostat can allow the burner to operate at infinately variable temperatures. It is light in weight and it is compact, making it handy when you need more heating surface as with preparing a large meal. If you have an adequate power source, you could use the burner when camping. It would be safer than an open fire. Being compact, in a kitchen setting, it doesn't take up much counter space and the power cord is long enough for most locations. The unit also has four sturdy feet to ensure a stable platform for pots and pans. Another benefit of its compactness is that it is easy to store away.
