Marion Davies is very funny in some scenes in this movie and in others the comedy doesn't work as well. In a few scenes she is almost annoying with how much she talks but then again, that is really the idea. She talks too much and all the time. I really like Elliott Nugent in this film, who acted for a while and then went on to become a very respected director. He is a good contrast to Marion's character. The movie is a bit dated in some respects but much of the comedy still holds up well. It may not be a classic, but is worth taking the time to watch, as it features several enjoyable scenes. And the picture looks quite good for a film from the thirties.
