Honeywell Box for fault-free Sundial wiring connections
Excellent for wiring up Honeywell Sundial C,S or Y for a first-time correct result. Good-looking sturdy box. Clear labeling in the box, and one terminal per wire, grouped by application (e.g. ROOM STAT, BOILER etc.) makes it a breeze to hook up right. Like all Honeywell products it's well made, but don't try to push it beyond its spec. In particular, the screw down terminals will only take a single 1.5 mm core, as specified, so if you try to use heavier wire, or try to put two wires into one terminal, it won't go. Even the correct cable ought to be tinned first if it's flex. It's not uncommon for installers to use a heavier bit of cable of the right size that they happen to have lying around to do the CH/HW wiring. No safety problem with that, but it will not fit in this junction box, and you will need the more basic 5A connector-strip style boxes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wiring made easy
S plan or Y plan - this termination box makes it easy to wire. With each cable core having its own terminal, no need to squeez several cores into one terminal. It's basically a printed circuit board with terminals mounted on it. So all the connections are done by the board. Clearly labled so it's easy to tell what goes where.

Makes wiring up 'a cynch'!
With everything marked up, then pretty-much anyone should be able to wire up their heating controls correctly using one of these wiring centres! Just a shame that the screw-down connectors are quite so 'difficult' when accepting the wires (if you use ferrules to terminate them, so as to avoid a few 'whiskers' appearing!).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
