Before I begin, be aware that I activated this phone on a prepaid plan ($35 for the initial prepaid minutes) and then Immediately transferred it to my monthly plan to replace my 11 year old phone that doesn't support VoLTE based phone calls. Verizon does this all the time and in my case, gave me a *limited* monthly reduction on my plan as a way to more than offset the prepaid plan $35 cost needed to activate the phone. That said, here we go... It does the basics such as phone, text, email, pictures, video, light gaming, and internet (by cell tower or home wifi) just fine. Consider purchasing extra batteries and a battery charger though. The battery life is nothing stellar but having a swappable battery compartment means I can flip out a drained battery and be back up and running with a spare in just tens of seconds. No need to make sure my battery is fully charged before shooting out the door & no concern about wearing out the USB port since I'm recharging the phone on a daily basis. Downside: No 5G, low screen resolution, no accessable built in FM radio, and with only a 5" screen, the on screen keys are a bit cramped. Will not connect to mobile data. We took it to a verizon store, called tech support 3 times and bought a new sim card. Mobile data will not work. It only works on wifi. Phone is pretty useless unless its on wifi. Not happy at all! We bought this because my husband is a medic and needs communication.

So far so good! I bought this to replace my laggy galaxy note 4. It was a breath of fresh air. Long battery life and super responsive. The only con for me was the low resolution screen is a bit hard to see in direct sunlight but for the price I can live with that. ZTE is good about keeping the bloat ware to a minimum. Verizon isn't but there weren't too many to clean up. The NFL app was the first to go. I've had this a few weeks and everything seems real smooth. Google maps works really good. I would buy this one again or similar device.

I bought this for my nieces to use with wifi. I didn't like them using my tablets or phone. For the price this works great for them. I can put on youtube, and a couple kids games. They are very happy with it. The adults are also happy since if this breaks its only a couple dollars. The version of android is recent so it should be ok for a few years of their use. The specs aren't spectacular, but they aren't doing anything intensive so its fine for them. The 16 gigs of storage is a decent amount. I haven't actually timed how long the battery lasts, but I know they get at least 4 hours of constant use with youtube or non demanding games.
