Wonderful product IF USED BY EXPIRATION DATE!
This product is wonderful (BUT MUST be used by expiration date)! My 5 yr old has digestive issues and after taking this twice a day for a few weeks, he finally could go the bathroom normally, without the pain of constipation. He has been taking it for over a year now, and because it's a non-flavored powder, he can't taste it, so he takes it without complaint!! I've also noticed since he's been on it, that compared to other children, he is sick less often. When he does get sick (which is now a rare occurrence), he is over it very quickly. I'm so glad the mom's at my son's school told me about this, as they used it for the same reasons with their children and with the same great results. NOW...here's the catch!!! This product has "5 Billion Active Cultures" ACTIVE being the key word. I was warned previously that it's of the utmost importance to use it BEFORE or BY the Expire date because this particular product truly does expire in it's efficiency. Here's my experience: I found a very cheap price for this- ended up being about $5 box...but they were on the verge of expiring. The product still seemed to work the same for my son UNTIL about a month into the expired box... his constipation came back AND he came down with an ear infection/lung infection and croup and ended up in the ER and was sick for 2 weeks!!! (This was 6 weeks into the expired packages). I stopped using the expired packets immediately and bought new ones set to expire in the future. Obviously the antibiotics and plenty of rest got him over his illness. As far as his digestive issue...he's now been taking the new packets for just over 3 weeks and his digestive system is back to normal and he has no trouble with constipation anymore. I was told by my pediatrician that it was important to use this product before it expires. He was right... Sadly, my little boy paid the price of my trying to save money...which ended up being a horrible thing to do when the intention is to help him! I'll never buy an expired children's product again!! (No matter what it is!) I hope this helps other parents out there.... when looking at this product, it's not cheap....but it does what it claims to do when used as directed AND by the expire date!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Combats the effects of acid reflux medication
Our paediatrician recommended this to aid my little boy's abdominal cramps and trapped wind resulting from acid reflux medication. The effects are staggering.
