    Was too large did not fit

    I have a 2002 Subaru Forrester and it did not fit after cutting it. It was still way too big as it smallest size but at that point I had to use it because I had to cut my original boot off. Guess I should’ve researched it better. Fingers crossed. Hope all goes well.

    leave the inner clamp slightly loose and...

    leave the inner clamp slightly loose and pushed towards outer (big side) of boot. put the outer big clamp on slightly snug before trying to pull the outer side onto the CV housing. turn the axle and tighten the clamp while pulling the tabs to seat the boot. trim tabs as it starts to seat. it will seat fully when you tighten the clamp and see it move outwards. then tighten it all the way. inner clamp may be kept looser than outer clamp.
