GREAT Quality, But A Few Things To Be Aware Of
This battery does not properly fit the 7 1/4" circular saw, model #5850 because the mounting track flange is JUST A TAD wider than OEM battery packs, and the pack runs into the grip and won't go any further. This requires a bit of trimming of the grip on the saw to allow enough clearance. My other tools, the jig saw, the recip saw, and the drill, all work as normal, since any grip material does not butt up against the battery track.. Just be aware of this little oddity before buying, and keep a Dremel tool with a grinding wheel handy. This pack works on either the older Ni-Cad charger, or the newer lithium-ion charger. I just tested this before making this review. Overall, I'm sold. I spent good money on two OEM lithium-ion packs, which lasted maybe two days. The design on THOSE was poor - meaning that there should have been cell balancing employed to help boost weaker cells to full potential, when others had reached full charge. I did not open THIS PACK. Hopefully, someone thought ahead enough to set it up properly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

warning it is 3 prongs
June 12, 2019 The picture is false and the description is deceptive. I wanted what was in the picture and described but that is not what I got. The picture shows 2 prongs but these batteries actually have 3. None of my 4 tools or 6 chargers accept 3 prongs. That means I can’t charge these batteries up to the Ah run time advertised and even if I could my tools could not utilize that power. worked great at much less cost
I just used the two batteries and was able to run my pole saw and trimmers up north for the entire time without a recharge where as my old 2 OEM batteries were requiring a charge to finish about the same amount of work. Batteries are hard to find anywhere else, so I'm relieved to get them as I have three tools I use with them -- leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and grass trimmer. Hi Powered 18 V NiMH Battery for Black & Decker Firestorm Tools
These batteries are more powerful than the NiCd packs that I rebuilt. They lasted longer with my Firestorm hedge trimmer than my NiCd units. Good purchase! Advice—be sure to use a charger designed for NiMH batteries. My OEM NiCd 230 mAh charger required 20+ hours to bring these packs back to full life. Black and Decker 18v battery
The battery showed good volts when it arrived. However. the casing was out of spec. It would not slip onto the unit with out hammering it on and then beating it off! It seems that this item was poorly made insofar as the forward portion of the top rails that slide on were not parallel from front to back. It took some. carving with a sharp blade to remove enough material allowing it ti slide onto the machine. It also would not fit the charger before refitting. The old battery was properly formed and slide on and off easily. Could this battery be factory seconds from China?.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
