It’s a transistor radio

Poor reception won't lock on to stations
It's just a poor quality radio. You will hunt and hunt for a station and when you find one it fades away. Both on AM and FM. I have a crank up radio with a solar panel on top about the same size and I get station after station with very little movement of the channel dial and no drifting off the station like this one. The item is necessary when a hurricane rolls in and shuts off the power for a week. The radio provides the news.
