Pop right in, made well, but needed an easy tweak to fit securly - read write-up!
Definitely made better than originals ('04 e46 330Ci ZHP Conv'ble), which I didn't care for chrome anyway since there's no other chrome on the car, so they compliment nicely IMHO. While they popped right in and won't fall out, wasn't too happy they were still loose/rattled. Cut some small diameter vacuum line hose into ~1" pieces and then slit length-wise (i.e. into a tight "C" shape). Slipped hose pieces onto hood's metal tabs on top(2), bottom(2) and center(1) on underside of hood in each opening (5 hose pieces per opening - see green arrows in pic's). This gave plastic grille retention tabs something to press firmly against. Made world of difference - grilles are now solidly in place and I expect the moderate tension the plastic grille tabs are placing on the hose-covered metal tabs of the hood will keep the hose pieces from falling out, at least until engine bay heat brittles either hose pieces or plastic grille tabs again. You may need to adjust hood latch handle (see 2 yellow arrows in pic's), very easy to do. Simple/inexpensive tweak and very happy now with how they fit/look!
