I used my new Cuisinart food possess or for the first time today. It feels good and sturdy and did well. I live in a very dry climate so I always have to use more liquid than called for but once I figure that out I will be using this appliance often and for many years.

My old food processor died and I needed something quick and not so expensive and this one is made by Cuisinart. I'm not sure why it was refurbished, but it does function. I'm a little disappointed by how inexpensive it feels - the motor gets hot quickly with heavy use in one session and the bottom half of the appliance seems really lightweight. Not sure how durable it will be over time.

Although a single household, for occasional larger family gatherings I needed a higher capacity processor than my 4-Cup Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus Food Processor. A Refurbished, although looking brand new, 11-Cup Cuisinart Processor for roughly $52.65 including shipping and a two year warranty was impossible to pass up. So far it has handled everything thrown at it and isn't any harder to clean than my 4-Cup Cuisinart.
