In planning my prototypical layout, I have a late 1930s photo of John Deere dealership with several of these tractors outside the facility. Perfect for this, but don't recommend for use in the field!

I would like to say something nice about this "kit" but I'm at a loss! the parts are not fitted at all they must be butt glued (meaning there are no notches or hole to align parts) the instructions call for super glue or epoxy to hold the metal parts together which works poorly since the parts do not fit together at all. The parts have large chunks of metal slag that must be cut off which leaves a jagged ugly edge this is an all around poor choice for an HO layout since when assembled is extremely fragile by construction. If Woodland Scenics had taken a little extra time to finish the parts and at least put some sort of ledge to glue to I would give it higher marks, I recommend buying an already built tractor for just a couple of dollars more than this very poor kit. I ended up buying the built tractor so i wasted my money on this, and in short don't waste your money either!Read full review

Not easy to assemble. Parts did not match up well. Price was good.

this kit gives you the perfect example of early John Deere tractors this, side of their model RH ,that are powered gasoline engines. I come from a farm background, and have driven steel wheeled and rubber tired gasoline powered farm equipment. I like this kit because it gives you two vehicles that with attention to detail give you a very fine model.
