It belongs to AMD 3000 series but not compatible with AMD B550 motherboards. Before buy this product, please make sure your motherboard is compatible with this Ryzen 7 2700X cpu. Now I use this with Gigabyte B450M S2H. it works fantastically. The Wraith Prism CPU cooler is awesome. And cpu cooler rgb colour prism's Vibgyor Rainbow is beautiful - it works even without additional RGB connecting wires provided; provides a great look. Relatively easy to install but needs separate Graphics Card
I was surprised how easy it was to install both the CPU and the fan. I have some experience with computers and upgrading, but changing a CPU can give you better performance or give you no PC! I'm also impressed with how cool it runs. The heat-sink and fan do a great job. A word of advice, I was using a motherboard with built in graphics with my previous CPU and when I started the PC I got the initial beep, but nothing on the the monitor. P.O.S.T speakers on motherboards can be quite small. I found that when restated and listened closely to the P.O.S.T beeps, I found I needed to now add a separate graphics card.. Fortunately I had one. Windows 10 started and all my apps were working... but somewhat faster. :)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
