Philippa Gregory is one of my favorite authors. If you like English royal history combined with a bit of fiction, then please do consider reading one of her novels. This particular one is very interesting, though you do get the idea that Margaret Lancaster Stanford was a bit vain and arrogant in her belief that she was almost a saint yet would stop at nothing to secure her son Henry's right to the throne. And maybe she was a bit self-important, who can say? This book also gives you a bit of history about how Henry VI lost the throne to Edward of Wales.
