New/Old Stock from 1988, Beautiful Chanter, Broken Reed
This set was a real bargain. The chanter is beautiful, the mini course is endearing and charming. A cassette tape from 1988 dates this new item, but from old stock. No problem with that. Big problem with the reed. The reeds are held to the whistle brass with a heavily waxed hemp cord. Well, the cord wasn't waxed, or the wax had dried out, and the Reed assembly fell apart and is impossible for me to put it together again. I will have to buy some more reeds, and a set costs as much as I paid for this course in the first place. Good luck in calling the manufacturer. I didn't bother getting hold of an address in the UK that is over 30 years old. Buy a new course, they don't cost that much more, and you won't have to worry about a decrepit productVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
