Excellent OEM Replacement. Restored my 65" Mitsubishi DLP TV to factory specs.
Setting up the chip is NOT a job for the novice - as you must remove several components, the back plate / fan, heat sink, cables and snap-ons. As a techie with an electrical engineering degree - the task was a snap - - quite easy, but if you've no experience with these things, you'd better have a techie friend help you with this. The chip provided was an OEM replacement and fit perfectly. The trick with reinstallation is getting the correct chip orientation. I'm still about one degree off rotation wise - but not willing to undo all the screws required to eliminate the slight offset. I should have followed the recommendations (google YouTube for instructions) to use masking tape and a fine-tip sharpie to record exact positioning prior to removal. Instead of the solid heat transfer pad, I used some of my Arctic Silver heat transfer compound during reassembly which does a better job of heat transfer and will NEVER dry out. I suspect the OEM heat pad dried out (after 10 years) contributing to excess heat buildup and DMD failure. I can only hope this chip lasts at least another 10 years as the image on the 65" Mitsubishi DLP TV is excellent. I replaced the lamp fixture last year - and with it's current location in the master BR, it sees infrequent use. When next it fails, I'll replace it with the current Holographic 3D technology (Ya Think ??)

Fixed the white dots problem in my Mitsubishi WD-65C9 TV
This was an exact replacement for the DLP chip in my TV. Replacement steps were not difficult, but be advised you will be removing and partly disassembling the guts of your TV. Some slight adjustment of the TV using the service menus to realign the picture was required after reassembly. I followed the steps in a YouTube video, which were near perfect. Search YouTube for bGg_P1PqCYo. Note that this product included a new piece of thermal tape to sit between the chip and the heat sink, so I did not have to re-use the existing tape as mentioned in the video.
