    Great for quickly cutting up fries

    Was thrilled with how easy this was to use for making fries or julienned vegetables. Better yet, I was concerned this version might not work with my model food processor, because the Cuisinart web site said I would need DLC-836, but this blade worked just fine.

    This cutter detaches from the spindle too easily. I attached spindle three different times for three different potatoes; it detached each time.

    The spindle detached each time I used it! Seems Dangerous! Use some other method to get French Fries. The fries are small, more like shoestring fries. Makes loud noise when cutting a potato. Beyond the safe design limits of the machine in my opinion. I noticed a slight deformation of the spindle hole in the blade, which probably allowed the spindle to detach! It didn’t seem like enough deformity to cause the failure, but it must have been the cause of the mechanical detachment under great force of cutting the potatoes.
