Many of the axles in wheels use steel that rusts easy if not protected and threading seems to be also rough in some places. This wheels manufacturing axle was used to convert a 130mm to a 135m rear axle wheel. The cones threaded on nice and there where no rough spots in the thread. The center part of the axle is nice and polished. Everything about this axle looks better made than the original. I recommend this for a replacement or conversion like I used it for. made the job much easier.
