An in-depth anthropological study
Roshi Joan Halifax leads a rich life. Her book on Shamanism is detailed and delightful. I met Don Jose Matsua, the Huichol Indian pictured on the front of her book. Halifax does not elevate the Shaman into a "flat," idolized being, rather, she describes the full character of a Shaman and their role in the community. Out of Print, so prices continue to rise and decline based on availability, but this copy was just as described. Thank you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
