It may be seven years old in design, but still one of the best!
This is my second Shadowbox Era. The first one died after four years and LOTS of mileage (It took a nasty tumble onto cement and started a steady decline in performance afterward), so it was time to replace it. Anyway, I decided to research all the other more recent units available through the other manufacturers (I looked at Plantronics' Voyager Legend and Explorer, and the Jabra Stealth), and still went with this one. Even though it came out in January, 2011, and Jawbone has gone out of business recently, it's STILL a great bluetooth — very comfortable, well designed, and great sound quality. And it'll likely serve me (and you) well for another 5+ years if not abused! The only negative is that the ear hook pops off easily — though doesn't break — if it encounters resistance of any kind (you gotta be gentle with it), but once on it's very comfortable and secure (it just pops back into place). HIGHLY recommended! And at this price ($29.99 + free shipping), a bargain (although it looks like this vendor ran out after selling more than 1,000 of them — so if you can find one through another vendor, that would be fortunate)! Too bad Jawbone went out of business! BTW, I use a prescription medication plastic bottle with safety pop top as a case and it fits perfectly while providing perfect protection for the unit! This product arrived even faster than what it was supposed to. When I got it it was easy to set up and I am loving it. I work construction for a living and use it on a daily basis.
