Nice parts but not needed
Pretty metal pieces that I ordereed in a burst of lets take care of the car mind set. I was so set on doing them that for a week I sprayed down the old one to make removal easier. The when it was time to replace I decided not to. The reason being is that the OEM one is screwed in with a sealer. The OEM one is close to some protrusions which made me think that I'd be exerting side pressure during removal and perhaps breaking the part off in the hole and/or breaking the metal manifold/engine casing. None of which appealed to me to cause a problem. So I removed the top part of the hose that goes to the plastic intake manifold. Sprayed a good quality throttle plate cleaner into the hose with the idea being that it would sit, seep through and clean the valve. Since there had been no real indications of needing a valve I figured I'd live with this methodology. Both valves now sit in my Subaru parts box.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
