This fuel pump features an auto-stop setting to avoid spilled fuel. It has a 35-inch discharge hose and transfers 3 gallons of fuel per minute. It uses four AA batteries for its powerful motor. Well worth it in most cases
Only issue is doesn't come with an adapter for the typical 5 gal jug used in racing. Have to pay a bit more to get the same pump but with that adapter from Mr. Gasket. Much better than using a funnel or just a piece of tubing in the jug cap. Auto fill shut off works but only if there is no fuel cell foam for it to contact. Holding in position to fill isn't a problem. Makes it easy to know how much fuel is being transferred.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor quality for the price
intermittent operation , have to pull out of gas can and free up the pump impeller, causing hands and clothing smell from gas ( shouldn't have to wear gloves when using this pump , one of the reasons I bought it ) I gave it 1 star , only because I can't submitt my opinion without a rating ..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It worked exactly as described. I was very surprised at how well it actually does work and would highly recommend it to anyone lifting 5 gal. fuel cans. This will easily drain a 5 gal can in a min. or so. You can walk away as it stops much like a gas station pump does. I had to see that to believe it but it really stops when in should as you tank tops off. Heck of a product and a great value. I’m still in the testing mode, but so far so good. Only one miss on the auto shut-off sensor, my finger was on the shut off button, so no mishaps.
