This game brings me back! It's fun, simple and intense at times. Considering it's a port of a classic arcade game, the game play and graphics are well implemented for a system with such a small screen, like the Gameboy! It's addictive like Tetris, I would highly suggest trying it if you enjoy casual gaming.

Qix features very simple graphics and little sound/music, but that's not what it's about; it's the gameplay where Qix really shines. You must form boxes within a grid to fill a certain amount of space, or use the boxes aggressively to trap the Qix. The Qix is a series of lines flowing together about the screen randomly. This game is all about risk vs reward. You must choose wisely, as just when you think it's safe to form a new box, the Qix will come right for you. If the Qix touches a box while it is being formed, you lose a life. You only have a few chances, so make them count and go for the best high score! Qix is very simple but addicting once you get the hang of it.

This game is like an action puzzle. You do need some skills and perhaps luck, but the strategy involved is something you can't easily describe. In most QIX-like games you can use only 1 button to draw the geometric figures, in this one you use 2: one to draw faster, e other to draw very slowly. You gain double points when you manage to make a square using the slower button. That's where the strategy really resides. In order to make a bigger score, you have to set traps and try to use the slower button for a big finish! When the game ends, you receive a final score screen based on your points. The curiosity is that they show Mario in different situations: as a hunter, a bull-fighter and even a royal guard! The game is very addicting, it is a very cheap game with a high fun factor! a Must Buy for every gameboy fan! If you buy it, don't just put it in your collection. Give it a chance and play a few times! You'll sure be surprised! Oh, a little hint: don't press start right away! Let the computer play for a few seconds! It'll sure give you ideas on how to make more points. At the moment my high score is 497000!Read full review

This is one of the forgotten gems of the 8-bit era. While reminiscent of the light cycles game as seen in the original Tron movie, it is a unique game in itself. The basics are you try to box in sections of the screen, once you reach 75% you advance to the next level. To make this a challenge there's 2 fiery balls of death chasing you, plus more come the longer you wait... AND there's this vector-graphic thing chasing you! As a twisted bonus there is amusing 8-bit art displayed for scores above a certain amount. Lots of fun to play by yourself and it has a 2 player mode, you cant go wrong with this little jewel!
Great classic game for the Gameboy I was surprised that it had color when I played it in my newer console

Qix is the great arcade hit from yearly 80s. It consists of outstanding game concept, simple and clever gameplay. That is why it is suitable for people of all ages. I can't stop playing it ^_^ What about you?
It is a fairly easy game so children can play, but the game intensifies after each level, to keep it interesting!
