Boat and auto power
I have used this unit for over 2 years as a DC supply for my boat with its' 2 gel-cell batteries when in dock. It is stable and does not deplete voltage output under my normal approximately 20 Amp load. The initial setup (120V) is to, using a quality Voltmeter, put a nominal light load on the DC outlet and set the DC Voltage to 13.8 Volts or very slightly less, the normal optimum voltage of 6 cell "12 Volt" batteries. Use quality flexible 14 gauge multi strand wire for DC output cables at nominal 20 Amp or less DC load. The unit works exceptionally well in test and operation of ancillary auto and marine 13.8 volt electronics.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pretty well made, could be improved, cordset failed almost immediately - skip this option
Pretty well made and puts out a solid 12V. Runs a small automotive cooling fan that is hooked up an oil cooler for an air compressor. Would be nice if it came with a couple of standoffs to mount it and some instructions giving you the threaded sizes of the pre-tapped M4 x .7 holes so you can figure out the mounting. The switched plug is expensive for what it is and I should have made my own but all in all it is a decent product. Now we'll see if it lasts in an un-airconditioned shop in Florida. Update - 30 minutes after starting this review the switch in the cord failed. It started arcing and then just gave up. Don't bother spending the extra money for this option - it struck me as cheap and failed after only being used a few times.

Decent work horse
Power supply arrived within reasonable time (due to hurricane Harvey, there was a delay). It had a slight cosmetic dent that was easily repairable with a set of pliers and bending the metal into place. The voltage adjuster pot was also knocked dangerously off its mount, which I was concerned for but did not result in any impact to functionality. Overall the unit works as intended. I have it powering a 500W amp for a 10" sub. Makes decent power, and appropriately goes into over-voltage protection when the sub kicks too hard with too much gain. Good value for a 12V supply

Work for My Application
Power supply works to power a radio. The power supply provides power to a radio. The only issue is that the fan runs all the time, even when the power draw is only .7 amps. The fan is a little noisy all the time and get noticeable louder when when the radio transmit. This is only in issue if you have the supply near a work center.
