Better than expected
I've been a pro drummer for 40 years and this little riser is the best accessory purchase I've made in years. It gives me the sound I want without hunting for the sweet spot. Better stick control too. Very happy. All my snares will have one.

It wouldn't work on the pdp snare that I was using but I switched to a Ludwig snare and it worked. There's not any difference that I can hear between hitting the rim riser and the rim of the snare. It does give you a little more space to hold the stick between the drum head and the stick.

I wasn's so sure about this item until I installed in on my snare drum. It makes a great difference when it comes to using the sidestick. I don't have to play so hard and loud to get a good sound out of it. I am totally satisfied with this product. The should have come up with this years ago. Love it.
