The mechanical operation and optics were far, far better than I expected from a microscope this inexpensive. Dual lighting system is great, focusing is smooth, and the image quality was surprisingly clear and uniform. Even my senior citizen eyes can easily see the nucleus in plant and animal cells, using only medium magnification. - The included accessories and instructions are great. Setup was fast and easy.
