If you have to take one lens with you on the field for just about any sport, this is it. Lovely compressed backgrounds and bokeh. Destroys Nikon’s 200-400 I and II (extensive experience with both). Working in newspapers, we never reached for the newest 400 f/2.8 — despite being a fabulous lens — we were all grabbing for this lens because of its versatility. Some people heaitate because it’s and f/4 but this lens is butterry smooth and makes you forget a fixed focal length quickly.

This is a MOAL Mother of all Lenses. Sharp, fast focusing, and a great focal length range for sports. Basically 200-560 with the 1.4x, which being built in is so easy to flip in and out. The used one I got was in flawless condition. I've had my eye on the lens for a long time, but found one in an affordable price range that was in excellent condition
