Nice model, Quality Assurance not thorough from manufacturer
All in all this is a very nice-looking, good running model that looks great on my layout. There were a couple of flaws, however, that quality assurance should have flagged before it got boxed up. The road number on the front is upside-down, and the volume control in the tender doesn't work (the sound is on all the time at a constant volume). It runs good, smoke is decent but I rarely use that. The coupler on the tender I have issues with connecting to my railcars (I use Kadees, this has some MTH specific coupler). I could just need to get familiar with the MTH coupler, it almost appears as if it can be controlled from the DCC controller, but I still need to research it. Like I said, all in all it's a good model and I plan on keeping it. The volume control knob might just be loose, so I'll open it up and see. For the price, I'd be happy having this just as a display model, it looks fantastic.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
