This thing has a 10 lb starting torque! Radio stations need a fast starting turntable that can take 24/7 operation. This is the ultimate unit! It performs just as well as the Technics SP-10. Instant start/stop and a boatload of neat tricks! I recommend this for radio station or club use where it is permanently installed. Not recommended for mobile DJs. They weigh almost 50 lbs! I put a Stanton 500AL cartridge on it, but you could put a 681EEE on it if you wanted to. Back in the 70's/80's, this could EASILY keep up with the QRK and Russco turntables! A+ Doug

This turntable was an excellent purchase, though being used and having a few scuff marks, the unit operates as designed. Too bad this model doesn't have USB, but Stanton did a nice job in its quality. Now, I can play my records. Thinking about getting a headset so I don't bother others while playing records.

I sold a pair of 1200s for a pair of these. The torque is better on these and very well build only 2 things that are annoying. What is up with the 2 different start and stop buttons? It gets in the way of a dicer. Also, be careful, they weigh 50 pounds each. Really Truly heavy. They will never break on you though.
