Compact mechanical switch offers a combination of reliable solid state electronics and a sealed float switch. False start prevention, no mercury, high impact plastic and encapsulated electronics adds up to dependability. Activates pump at 2" water level, deactivates pump at 3/4" water level. The switch is designed to attach to the SPX FLOW Johnson Pump Cartridge bilge pumps. When attaching to other SPX FLOW Johnson Pump bilge pumps, use the adapter provided. This magnetic float switch is 12 volts.

Mates with the Johnson cartridge pump
This item is a replacement that is compatible with the Johnson cartridge pump. The thick plate on the bottom that is shown in the pictures can be unscrewed and the switch then slides onto the tang on the pump body. I found the switch to be reliable enough over the last few years, until my old one died. It kept water out of the boat and did not stick on and kill the battery. This replacement has me back in business. The float is protected from debris inside the switch body, but there is a protruding piece that can be moved up via your finger or a screwdriver to test that the automatic setting is working.
