Keep one as a backup
My boat is stored in Lake Tahoe and if I don't get all the water out of the pump when getting ready for winter this section of the pump will crack. I have had them crack in the main part of the body and also where the rubber hoses connect. This plastic pump body is much less expensive than the brass or stainless units so I think it is good deal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don’t recommend buying
The pump is thrown into a shipping bag loose washers and bolts sand some missing. The impeller is very cheaply made with a plastic not brass or bronze bushing. I hope it lasts a season. The impeller rubber seemed very soft and cheap. It weighs much less than all the other pumps I have bought. Wouldn’t recommend it. Housing seemed fine. Cheap bolts not stainless same with washers. And 2 we’re missing. The wear plate seemed fine we will see if it lasts . We only get 5 month if that of boating and I replace it every year. We will see if it can make it.
