fit my fiddle perfectly . light weight and accurate in the tuning . great tuner

Two very significant performance issues: 1. Turns off automatically every 10 minutes, especially irritating when your are practicing. 2. On/off button requires a hard push to turn on and it is necessary to the remove violin from your chin to do so. Having a violin tuner that you can position on the violin body and move to where it is most visible while playing is an absolutely wonderful idea. When it is operating it does great, that is until it shuts itself off and you have to put the bow down, remove the violin from your chin and use the other hand for a hard button push to turn it back on. I seriously doubt the designer ever used it for violin playing.

Excellent for teaching violin, clamps on side near the neck, students can see if they are getting the right note as they try fingering. Also usually you do not have to remove it when putting away the violin. Very light and compact. I have purchased over a half dozen of these for my students and they improve almost immediately on tuning anfd fingering. Recommend yes

Works great, easy to use and read, fits perfectly on my violin without scratching it.

This tuner is like others on the market with the exception of how it mounts to the instrument. Others attach at the scroll which has uneven clamping surfaces, ending up in the way when tuning. The D'Addario PW-CT-14 has a clever cam mounting that keeps the tuner out of the way, yet available when needed. It is a bit pricey but in the long run worth every penny.
