Great option for scoping a Mosin without drilling, tapping or cutting.
I used this to mount a 2-7x Long Eye Relief on a Mosin M44. Installation required a little bit of filing and adjusting, as any work on a Mosin does, but the result has been fantastic. Very solid, well made. My scope came with an aluminum mount, which flexed and did not hold zero well. This product is SO sturdy, and better built. I just love it. I only used the top rail, but it's still worth every penny.

gunsmithing required on the mounting plate of Russian M44 Carbine
the mount is described as needing no gunsmithing to fit the existing rear sight mount. That might be true on some, but the Mosin Nagant Model 44 that I mounted one on required a substantial amount of filing on the front of the mounting bar,lug in order for the 3 mm allenhead bolts to begin to line up on either side. it is a carbine, but must have the rifle style sight since it took the longer plate underneath. It should have been an easy install, but the bolt holes on the mount didn't line up with the threaded side holes on the tri-rail base plate.

Awesome rail system, but beware if you don’t have a standard rear sighting mount
My rifle didn’t have the standard rear sight mount so it wasn’t compatible but I’m currently modifying it so it will work. Used hot glue to just see how it’ll look and I’m very excited to get this project done

Scope mount for Morin Nagant
As is typical with the Mosin, I had to file a little to get the rear of the adapter to slide back far enough to engage the forward screws to secure it in the read sight mount. Other than that it was follow the instructions to arrive at a strong and secure mount for the scope. RJH, Seattle
