I should say really expensive lens covers. They work well and fit the scope. They are lightweight and the magnetic catch is slick. The rear lens threading did not engage well with the threading on the Leupold AR Mod 1 scope but under magnification it turned out to be a small aluminum shard. After cleaning the threads it went on OK. The back lens cover had to be tightened strongly to keep it from spinning around in it's collar and I feel a crush ring or some type of hard o-ring would allow this feature to work better. I chose to keep it even though I could buy a dozen plastic covers for the same price. It has the look and feel of quality, it just fell short of expectations, especially given the price point.

Installed easy magnet came out within the first week and the logo on the caps will contact the top of the scope and wear off Marking the scope overall easy to use and a nice addition to a good scope

Quite expensive but if they're compatible with your scope they are hands down the best scope covers period, no if's and's or but's. I literally ordered a set of butler creek and the new vortex hoping to find a cheaper option and I returned both and ordered these. Leupold owners might have no issue paying this much to protect their investment but I have a redfield and it was a hard pill to swallow paying half as much as I paid for the scope for lens covers. I wish they offered ones a little cheaper with the redfield logo as I'm sure the name on them is atleast partially to blame for the price. On the redfield revolution 3-9x40 they didn't seem to thread in quite far enough to be tight. Scope was brand new so if threads were marred it was from factory and I'm a machinist so NO I didn't cross thread even though it would be easy for someone to do due to the fine aluminum threads. I simply replaced the o-ring with a slightly thicker one and it works fine. It could have just been this set. Perhaps they don't fit as well on Redfield as they do on Leupold but if I spent the money for A leupold as well as these covers and it fit like it did for me I'd be very disappointedRead full review

These are expensive scope covers, but they are also the best that I've seen. They have magnet clasps instead of friction fits, they are actually aluminum instead of plastic, they are rugged and lightweight, and fold down completely flat. They also look good and are made in America. These thread onto a Leupold scope and I don't think you can really attach them to other brands.

These are a must have if you are a hunter. I have recently gotten used to the metal caps that come with Hawke scopes and vowed never to but another set of Butler Creek flip ups after having so many break on me. These are definitely the best scope caps that I have ever used. I appreciate the way that they flip open without hitting the scope but still allow you to push them flat against the body of the optic out of your line of sight silently. I also installed the 4” sunshade which they thread into perfectly. The sun shade also puts the front cap where it is easy to open with my thumb while gripping the for end of the rifle with my normal shooting grip. While they are definitely pricey I feel that it is money well spent. My only gripe would be that they do not match the finish on the VX-Freedom scope that I installed them on but that will not keep me from purchasing another set for my next Leupold.Read full review

I installed the covers and hunted this year with them. It is nice to just pop them open and lay them back against the scope tube, out of the way. Water has a difficult time getting in when they are closed.

I received my Leupold Scope Lens Covers (62990) the other day. Packaged nicely. I did not see anything on the package as to where they were made, so I am assuming they are made outside of the USA. Installation was easy and in a few minutes they were installed. The function easily and sure beat the caps I had previously. Time will tell how they hold up in the field.

These are great scope covers. In my opinion they are a bit expensive for covers as you can buy different brand name ones for less than a third the cost that serve the same purpose.

This lens cap set was a great buy. Leupold makes nice scope caps, but they tend to be pricey. While they are still not cheap this set was far less than most places are getting for the same item. The set is also a better deal than buying the caps individually.

Provides a factory fit and finish to any Leupold scope. Don't get me wrong, I've used Butler Creek caps and like 'em. But, it just completes the package to put on Alumina covers. They may be more expensive, but the quality of the product is well worth the spend.
