Baader part number SSIII or 2957300. Baader Planetarium has taken this basic concept another step forward. Finding objects in dim star fields or light polluted skies is now easier than ever. It is made of ABS plastic.
I ordered this to get a better estimate on errors occurring when trying to align my new EQ mount. It arrived with the left/right adjustment jammed so far to the left that I had to dismount it the first night to get my fingers to move the aim to the right. This is a good average red-dot unit. The controls are a little stiff, but still usable. The dot is a little fat even at lowest switch setting, but that is probably common at this price level. The screen on the objective end is slightly tinted which reduces the light a bit. The unit has several adaptive mounting bases that are all included with it, and therefore might be a good unit for someone who want to use the unit on several scopes. -- Or, you can just buy multiple Baader finders.
