I have a Les Paul guitar controller for Wii from the gh3 bundle about 8 years ago and played many many hours on it (currently somewhere between hard and expert level player). But besides a broken whammy bar, which was an easy to fix, the guitar still works perfectly to this day. Because of this after recently getting several gh games for the 360, I wanted to track down a decent condition Les Paul controller for it. It wasn't until after I bought it that I started seeing reviews about how much those guitar controllers, not just the 360 ones, actually break and eventually stop working. Most of the complaints I've read come from the connection between the body and the neck as it is designed to come apart, but this connection could fail and make the buttons on the neck go out. Besides from my first inspection after receiving it and putting a blue faceplate on it, I keep the neck and guitar attached and I hope this will increase the longevity of the guitar. I've had the controller now for a few weeks and it works perfectly with no dropped notes or anything as far as I can tell. The strum and whammy bars are all very responsive and buttons on the neck all work great. One thing that is slightly annoying is the tilt mechanism to activate star power is INSANELY sensitive. I've had to completely readjust my play style so star power wouldn't activate on its own and even then it still likes to go off at times. As for looks, the guitar is very sleek and is a joy to not have a large rectangular hole in the body. Overall the guitar looks and feels great to play and it feels identical to the one I played with on the Wii. On a side note, another plus for this guitar is that it is compatible with Rock Band and works very well in those games! And this may go without saying but it will not work in the new Guitar Hero Live game. As for the gh world tour game, this was a delightful bonus. I played this game for many hours on the Wii and in my opinion has one of if not the best setlist in any gh game and is one of my favorites. However when I got the copy for the 360, I was blown away by how amazing the game looked compared to the Wii version. The game runs much smoother and the increase in detail and animations was a pleasant surprise! I ended up playing all the way through this game again just because of how cool it looked. In a game like guitar hero, I never thought that the look of the game would matter so much, but now it would be very difficult to go back to the Wii version. If you're a fan of guitar hero, I highly recommend this game!Read full review

The product was used, as advertised. The battery cover was missing in back. I was able to pair the guitar wirelessly with my Xbox 360 console easily. I played a song with the guitar and it worked great! The second song, none of the fret keys worked, only the pick. I tried a third song and only the green fret button and pick worked, but nothing else. I re-connected with my console, thinking it was a communication issue and again, none of the fret keys worked. I powered down the console, removed the batteries from the guitar and restarted the system and still only the green feet button and guitar pick worked. I decided to return the product

Played one game, turned it off to go make dinner, came back and will not turn on. We have changed batteries several times and just no luck😔 on the other end the purchase was easy affordable and made it here quick. Just wish we got more use out of the guitar. Games came in great almost perfect condition

It looked great when I recieved it just as described but after a few days of play it didn't play as well as it should. It constantly drops yellow and orange notes as the detachable neck guitars from gh3 and up are known for but it also had in marks in the neck connection board when I got it. It works a lot better than my other one but it still has the same problem.

The guitar was in good working condition for its age. The connection between the neck and body of the controller was weak but that’s a common issue for this model of controller. Nothing a little cardboard couldn’t fix. A fair price for what I received in comparison to how much others are charging for their guitar hero controllers in worse conditions. I binged all of guitar hero 2 when the controller arrived, needless to say it was a good purchase. Well worth it if you’re looking to feed some nostalgic needs.
