USA made for the WIN...!
Wow am I ever happy I found this part! It is amazing the OEM apart from BMW is so awful! My low mileage 2007 525i with no warning dropped power steering, so I checked under the hood and found the serpentine belt fell off. OK, weird deal, but I'll fix that with a new belt & tensioner. After a job well done later, started up, checked things over and noticed some coolant dribbling out by the radiator hose. Now a huge WTF showed up... The OEM part was so rotted and brittle it did not hold itself together when I tugged on it. This factory part should have been a recall, but instead a much better idea was invented by a smart engineer and is being knocked off by the thousands in China... Here's your perfect chance to make a difference and buy USA made products!

I had to change my oil filter adapter and oil cooler adapter gaskets and the post I found on the web earned that the plastic fitting was likely to be falling apart. So right! This aluminum replacement is a thing of beauty and worked perfectly. Without it I should have had to replace the whole hose for more money and a lot of extra work. Better than oem
Great solution, especially for that crapy plastic fitments. A bit tricky to fit. O-ring needs some grease to slide and fit inside the hole and don't break the seal. This OEM fitting works perfect and is made very well. Took roughly 15 minutes to install due to the limited room you have to work with. Like OEM exact fit, but better quality
Had to do some work on my daughter's BMW X3 with the N52 engine, and that hose attached between thermostat and engine block had to come out (at the engine block level). Well, that OEM plastic nipple came out in pieces and not because I applied force, but because of numerous hot/cold cycles. Not to mention, the O-ring was like a few sizes bigger (also deformed). Luckily I had this part ordered prior to have it just in case. I didn't know what to expect, but the fit and finish is outstanding, and being metal will definitely last. No coolant leaks, and looks more OEM (matches with the engine) than the black plastic one that it replaced. If not for this part, I would have to buy another hose and also undo it from under the car at the thermostat level which is a PIA for these engines (N52, N54). Great upgrade or replacement

Way better than replacing the entire hose from the thermostat housing. Install took less than 30 minutes. Where gold screw driver under the BMW cream to clamp, and use the Dremel to cut off the old clamp. Hose fitting came with hose clamp.
