Denix 18th Century Flintlock Pistol
I build custom displays as gifts for friends, family, coworkers, etc. I've always enjoyed Denix models for collecting and giving. This pistol makes for a beautiful main piece for a pirate display I built as a Christmas gift. I distressed a flag & stained a small box for the loot. I made this display representing Henri Caesar (aka Black Caesar). He was a famous pirate who sailed with Blackbeard on the Queen Ann's Revenge as well as pirating with his own crew.

Well made, moving parts... but smells.
Full sized. Real metal parts, real wood body. Working spring loaded trigger and hammer. Nice weight. Well crafted. Very nice piece. Only two minor complaints. 1st, The metal used is a type of alloy so repeated firing will eventually break the hammer, I reccomend taping a shock absorber on the strike plate to prolong its life. 2nd, the oil used to seal the body has a sharp odor to it. Made my room and hands smell after being in it for a few hours. It will wear off eventually, but be prepared.
