restores the caretaker to like new function. easy DIY
This is the authentic rebuild kit and all parts fit perfectly. go to yooutube for inastructional videos. Not difficult at all. get the silicone lube for the gaskets. only hard thing for me waas the metal band/strap that holds the upper and lower together. the whole thing took an hours or so. unit works perfectly again. My pool is vintage (1994), this is the second time the valves have been rebuilt. The first was by my pool guy who I only have out 3-4 times a year. He charged over $250 about 8-10 years ago. Fixed my 2005 Polaris Caretaker
Not hard to fix at all. Need some silicone lube for the o-rings. Youtube has good videos. Makes a really bad grinding sound starting up because of the air in the system. Apparently that is normal. Wasn't aware and took all apart to verify.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
