Recipes are clear and uncomplicated. For true vegetarians, some ingredients are not "clean," such as Worcestershire sauce. Also, convenience foods are included, like Cream of Mushroom soup ( which may not be vegetarian). Still, i have always found Sunset Books very good value, well written, nicely illustrated. I will easily adapt these outdated ingredients to my updated vegetarian lifestyle

I have owned this cookbook VEGETARIAN COOKING by Sunset Editors, before and lent it out. The recipes are extremely good if you want to try vegetarian, but I found the basic recipes are fabulous even when you add meat to them.
