  • Good story, great acting

When I bought this movie, I was in the process of trying to find movies depicting activities of the French Resistance during WWII. While somewhat more expensive than most discs I purchase, the story is good, and the acting is great. There are good plot twists and strong character development. Paul Massie does a phenomenal job in his role, and I actually found myself sharing his character's feelings about the dilemma he faces during the film. While it does have some of the drawbacks of most Hollywood movies of the time, such as an unfortunate bit of melodrama and filming on obvious sets versus a location, it rises above those small detractors and provides very good entertainment.
