Since the early 70's I have purchased at least two copies of this album on vinyl. I haven't had a turntable for years. After joining a Roxy Music group on Facebook, and watching hours of videos on Youtube.com, I decided to find some of my cherished Roxy Music faves on CD via eBay. The prices were great, and I soon had 4 CD start to my re-collection. This was the remastered CD. The nice part is, they still have the original graphics and lyrics enclosed. The sound is fantastic, and lost nothing from the original analogue recording. The songs remain as fresh as when I first heard them, lightyears ago. This band was well ahead of their time. As dance music, these songs could easily be played in any club today, and get a wild response. Roxy Music has always had a hypnotic effect on the listener. Close you eyes, and be transported away. Sure, you could buy a "Best Of" LP, and get Love Is The Drug or Both Ends Burning, but then you would loose out on some of the other gems, like Sentimental Fool and Just Another High. Phil Manzanera's guitar playing still stands out, as well as Andy Mackay's oboe and sax, just wailing! No other rock group has ever achieved this sad, yet melodic ambience to their music. Each song seamlessly blends with it's companions, and should not be listened to out of context. You can't sit down, and stay still while this album plays. It will get you moving, and when you're breathless, it slows down, and makes your soul weep for it's beauty. My husband is a virtuoso guitarist, and is not from the Roxy era. He's more into guitar-driven music. Last night, he got his first taste of what it was like to love this band. He was dancing! I think he realized that this band had more to offer, than the few tunes he had heard on pop radio. They could ROCK! You can't just stop with this one. I suggest Avalon, Country Life, and Stranded, as companions before getting the rest. Viva Roxy Music!Read full review

One of my all time favorite Roxy Music albums along with Roxy Music, For Your Pleasure and Avalon. Love Is the Drug is one of my favorite tracks and one of the best songs on the album. I even once learned the bass line for that song.
