Well, this is a lot better than Rocky 4 it brings back the charm of rocky and his lifestyle. when rocky comes back from Russia he goes into retirement and hangs up the gloves and goes back home to Philadelphia after Paulie loses their money to a stockbroker, Rocky then renovates Mickey's gym which was left to Robert and reopens it where he meets Tommy Gunn a boxer that seeks out Rocky and wants him to train him. I love this movie it also shows the relationship of Rocky and Robert his son who becomes a major character and how Rocky is putting his son aside for his new protege Tommy. This movie brings back the drama that which made the first three Rocky movies great. This is a really good movie. The acting is great, the story is great, directing is great and so is the music. The best scene is the street fight at the end between Tommy and Rocky. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do. This movie is CinematasticRead full review

Glad that the series didn't end here... Not saying that this is a bad movie, but I am glad the Sylvester made Rocky VI recently. The story here with Tommy Gunn seemed a little 'forced', but I have seen this movie a few times when it is shown on TV and get drawn into watching it again just to see Rocky finally have it with being pushed around. For those that love the Rocky series, this should be part of your collection, but probably won't be viewed as often as the earlier ones. Michael
This was the last of the Rocky collection that I recently acquired. After buying my son, Rocky Balboa for his birthday this April 2007, I had purchased him Rocky for Easter. I then found Rocky II, Rocky III, and Rocky IV. I had completely forgotten about Rocky V where he trained Tommy Gunn. This is a summary for all you Rocky fans and fans to be. Rocky - Rocky fights Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) after getting a lucky break. Rocky II - Rocky has a rematch with Apollo Creed. Rocky III - Rocky fights Clubber Lang (Mr. T)and gets a humiliating defeat. Rocky, the Italian Stallion thinks of hanging up his gloves but then he gets the help of an old ally, Apollo Creed and he gets the "eye of the tiger". He goes against Lang in a rematch and wins back his world heavyweight championship. Rocky IV - Apollo Creed gets killed fighting the Russian, Drago (Dolph Lungreen). Then Rocky and the Russian fight! Rocky V - Rocky learns that his money has be swindled, his injuries force him to retire, his son (Sage Stallone) plays his son in this movie and The Italian Stallion trains Tommy Gunn. Gunn turns on Rocky and taunts him and Rocky kicks his butt out of the ring. Rocky Balboa - Adrian had passed away years before at the start of this movie. Rocky owns a resteraunt named Adrian's, Rocky's son is grown and working a job in the business world. Rocky meets new Friends, and finds himself being compared to todays heavyweight champion. He decides to fight the champ, Mason Dixon (Antonio Tarver) and a fight it is. I HOPE THIS HELPS ALL YOU ROCKY FANS AND HAPPY LIVING IN AMERICA!Read full review
