If you are in a position to purchase these drives in low-mile, multiple-item lots, then by all means do it! It takes the ouch out of buying several SSD's to update friends/family/your own PCs. Every one of the ten (10) drives in this lot loaded windows perfectly and booted up just fine. I used one of the majors or Macrium to do the cloning chores, depending on the source. The drives were formatted perfectly; I didn't have to mess with that. I don't know how much better than the Evo 850 model they are, but installing a more modern version of just about anything in the PC world is usually the smart way to go.

Fast and reliable. I've purchased this used to put in a used laptop I purchased, because I've had another EVO 860 for over 6 years and still seems as fast as when it was new.
