Its electric but its a Toro and ready to do the job.
Toro was a name i know and trust so thats what i wanted, not some cheap unknown name i didn't know if it would last. It was easy to assemble and as soon as i tried it out i could see the cutting power it had for a electric weeder. I like the option of the edge trimmer too. On the heavy side
Toro is a very good brand however I was disappointed a bit with this model. The trimmer alone is solid built but to me kind of weighty and you have to be careful with how you are trimming along. The spool feeds but not enough to get you that length that can give you a better cut. This is the original spool that came with and I found myself having to pop off the spool and unwind several times. There is a side button for that so maybe I'm not reading the directions correctly on this but however, it's an electric weed wacker and shouldn't be a hassle to use. My next weed trimmer will not be this model. I wanted a Toro because the name however I'm thinking I will research better next time. Otherwise I got what I got and just have to put a little muscle into my tasks and get used to it. Yes the trimmer does the job but I think there are better ones in the market.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Love this trimmer
Love this trimmer. I broke my first one. I hit something and broke the spool housing. I didn't take it to a repair shop. It may be able to be fixed. I bought another brand in a hurry and hate it.
