I have an HP Laptop. An OLD laptop and after upgrading the memory I still was unhappy with my performance. Now this isn't the best you can buy and it's older tech but if you want to put a few more years on your laptop, especially if you have an HP product you could do worse than this. My boot times a amazingly fast, I run Windows 10 so I don't have to worry about TRIM or compatibility. Use one this size ONLY as a boot and OS drive. Try to keep it half empty if you can. I use a couple USB 3.0 drives for storage of large files like downloads and photos and music and they're plenty fast and durable for those tasks. It's just a good, workable, and plenty fast way to get some life back from your older laptop or even desktop, and the price is right. There is no software for moving data from your old drive but there are plenty of free products out there if you look. Just make sure you have all the right cables. So yeah, if your looking for a value improvement you could do a lot worse. I have nothing bad at all to sy about this drive after a year of use.Read full review

It's a great value considering the price off SSDs. It's king of like the cheaper name brand version, better than a generic but it's not gonna out do a higher quality by any means. Though as a boot disk there's no beating the price unless you buy used.

I needed something small (250GB) to use as a clone drive. Just the right price for the size. This cloned my 250 M.2 SSD in 8 Min, set up in external USB 3.0 case.
