Great CAI
I was surprised when people said you can hear the motor with this CAI. You actually can hear some of the intake noise in the engine. That’s not a bad thing at all. Install of rubber connecting hoses can be a PiTA without a second set of hands. That is expected if you have ever installed a CAI. Leave the metal clamps very looses when connecting the rubber hoses to the harder plastic and they will go on a bit easier. I have not had much time to see if fuel mileage improves and really don’t care. My truck is a toy hauler so don’t care much about fuel improvements. After the installation of this cold air intake system I am please with the outcome. It looks great under the hood. I could tell immediately that the horse power had increased. The engine ran with more pep and sounded great the first time I drove my Ford F-150 truck after the install. Now, I am hoping gas mileage will increase also.
