I like
First time trying to GHS strings. With flats that I plan to keep on my bass for many years I didn't focus too much on price. Very fundamental tone, not much for overtones. Using on a fretless to avoid the Wah sound. As much as I love Jaco, I'm not going for that tone. I'm noticing there are random places along the strings length where the windings almost look damaged, or not perfectly uniform, and you can feel this with your fingers. It doesn't affect playability but I need to ask GHS if this is normal or if my set was a bad batch. Something to consider I guess.

GHS Precision Flats bass guitar strings
I've used GHS bass strings for years. They sound great on my 5string G&L. They're one of my favorites amoung the different brands out there. Of course, It's all in the instrument, the sound and style you play.
