Great Dane proof. Hard to find 54" cage.
Compared to my XXL cage, this cage blows it away. INCLUDES PAN. Much heavier wire, real heavy. Doors do not lift up like lighter duty cages. Three sliding bolts per door. Looks like you could use a padlocks. Overall highly recommended for Great Danes. One note make sure you assemble this in the room it will stay in, that big. My Escape Artist New Bed
My Escape Artist can't figure out how to open the door!! He has plenty of room above his head in his banded topknot. It is also roomy to do his twirlys , and lay down completely stretch out. I like the closer spacing of the bars than the original crate , and it has securer locking slides than the original model. I haven't had to rig up a way to keep it latched.

Ok if your dog is calm in a cage
This cage is huge, it makes our 227lb English Mastiff look like a puppy again. If your dog is not ok being in a cage this might not be a cage for you. My dog did try an escape and gave up because as a Mastiff he only has about 30 seconds of try before he gives up and takes a nap. We zip tied every other square of the cage on all sides. 45” tall kennel for a growing Great Dane puppy!
I was super happy to see that it arrived early than what it estimated! But the box was very beat up and when I put the kennel together I noticed that several areas of the kennel where bent! Wasn’t too happy since it was rather expensive, but besides that it seems to keep my Dane in which is the main goal (Haha)!
