really fun
i really wanted to learn how to play the a recorder or a air instrument when i was in middle school but i ended up plays string instruments, but now that i'm older i wanted to try so i bought this, cool thing is that it comes with a basic note sheet so you can find out the easy notes, but your best bet is learn from youtube, for me i been playing the violin(but stop) ukulele, and learning the piano, the way i play is mostly by ear i learned that i had a ability to listen to sound and try to play a song, so thats what i did with this recorder, now my problem was that i has asthma which cause me to lose my breathing fast but i really wanted to learn so i practice a breathing style for myself that helped me play, and if your trying to play for the first time say tu tu tu when blowing it gives you a nice tune when playing. and remember take your time!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Yamaha recorder for student my daughter's love it
Paying the extra 3 or $4 for this Yamaha recorder was well worth it. The four and five dollar recorders you see online are plastic and cheaply made this is a Yamaha product.
