Be careful ! This stuff is potent !
I believe this is called "aftershave/cologne" for a specific reason...it is very strong when applied directly from the bottle. Unusual and Nice
When I first got this, the scent somehow was permeating through the packaging... When I first opened the plastic bottle.. I was greeted with a scent that was both familiar, and odd to me.. I have learned over the years that a person's nose will 'adjust' to various scents.. and at other times find them less agreeable.. weird, isn't it? Well, this scent at first, was 2/3's nice to me.. and 1/3 not so nice. I decided to take a few days and allow my nose to 'adjust'.. I have to say that now I really do love this scent! It is sweet, yet with a musky note - a heavier scent than Pinaud's Lilac Vegetal and their Standard scents.. When I bought this, I was hoping to use it as an aftershave, but it is VERY very strong! At first I could only use a tiny amount on my finger, and place it on my face.. VERY STRONG!! I then wondered why they put on the label both 'Cologne' AND 'Aftershave'.. Then I realized, you just place some water in your hand.. then add some of this scent.. and it DOES become the Aftershave it says it is! -- How simple! [silly me for not thinking this through!].. I DO recommend this scent! Be prepared though that you may either love it or not like it - BUT remember to give it at least a few days for your nose to adjust! Another amazing thing happened.. Now that I have adjusted to this scent, my other aftershave's and cologne's smell MUCH better than before!! So don't be discouraged at first if you find this scent odd and dislike-able.. A few days using just a tiny bit of it behind your ears.. and you may really start to love it as I do now! It is both a cologne and an aftershave [using water]! I heartily recommend it.
